Why volunteer?
ReTyped is a not for profit organization driven by volunteers, dedicated to assisting foreign nationals in establishing and navigating their publishing careers in the UK.
By volunteering with ReTyped, you'll have the opportunity to cultivate new skills, forge valuable connections, and contribute positively to the industry. As a newly formed organisation, volunteers will play a significant role in shaping ReTyped’s future direction and impact.
Who can apply?
We encourage applications from all individuals within the UK publishing community, including those aspiring to enter the field. There's no age restriction, and prior publishing experience or formal publishing education isn't necessary. What matters most is your enthusiasm for the industry and an appreciation for our organization's mission and efforts.
Please be aware that although these roles are voluntary, they require a level of dedication to ensure the organisation’s smooth operation. Each available position may have different requirements, so it's essential to carefully review the role description before applying.

If we have advertised multiple roles and you would like to apply for more than one role, a new form will be needed for each new application.

Editor (ReTyped Blog)
We're seeking two Editors to collaborate on the ReTyped blog. As an Editor, you'll be tasked with crafting, curating, and promoting content for our online blog.
Key requirements include strong writing abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a keen interest in exploring emerging trends within the publishing industry, focusing on diversity issues. This role offers ample opportunities for networking, honing communication skills, and refining your editing and proofreading abilities. As this is a new role, there is flexibility for the role to evolve alongside the role-holder.
Role Expectations: Researching and crafting one article per month, in addition to assisting with editing and proofreading 2-3 shorter pieces.
Duties involve:
Delving into current publishing trends and issues to shape article topics and resources.
Writing engaging content for the ReTyped blog and online resources.
Editing and proofreading ReTyped guides, as well as guest-written articles.
Actively promoting the blog and resources across social media platforms.
